Looking for an option to help finance your first home? You may not be aware, but the KiwiSaver HomeStart Grant is not just available for traditional houses – it’s available for transportable homes too!

If you are over 18 and are not a property owner, you may be entitled to a KiwiSaver HomeStart grant of up to $10,000. If you have contributed the required minimum amount to Kiwisaver for at least 3 years, the KiwiSaver HomeStart grant may bring your home ownership dream to life.

To be eligible, you must have a household income (before tax) less than $85,000 annually for one person or less than $130,000 annually for two or more people. In some circumstances, if you have previously owned a home but are in a similar financial position to a first home buyer, you may still be able to meet the requirements of the HomeStart grant.
