Able Spaces is proud to be based in the Hutt Valley. When we first started out, we designed and built our prefabricated homes in Lower Hutt but are now based out of our factory in Trentham in Upper Hutt, Wellington.
If you’d like to see an example of the prefabricated homes that we build, the office at our factory is one of our own prefabricated houses, based on the ‘Western Lake’ design. You are welcome to come in and have a look around anytime during office hours, by making an appointment.
You can also have a look, by appointment, at any of the homes that we are building in our factory. We have two viewing appointments available each day, Monday to Friday, 10am and 1pm. We can also do viewing appointments on Saturday, if required. Contact us to arrange a viewing appointment.
If you’d like to see some of our prefab homes in use, some owners of Able Spaces houses are happy for people to go and have a look around. Other owners don’t want people coming into their homes, but are happy for you to drive past and have a look from the outside.

Being a Wellington company, a lot of our transportable and modular homes get delivered across the Greater Wellington Region, over the hills to Porirua, the Kapiti Coast and the Wairarapa. In these areas, kitsets houses are generally sent out to sites that have difficult access, but you’d be surprised where the transport companies we use can get whole transportable houses, or bigger modular homes, trucked in a 2 halves.
Being much easier to transport, our kitset houses are what tends to get sent longer distances, especially into the lower half of the North Island.
We have delivered our buildings to a lot of places around the North Island, and even a few across Cook Strait to the South Island.
